Kerala becomes first Indian state to achieve total digital education, announces CM Vijayan

In a significant development, Kerala has become first state of India to have introduced high-tech classrooms in all its government-run schools. Earlier in day, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan declared state public education sector completely digital. high-tech classroom project was implemented by Kerala Infrastructure and Techlogy for Education (KITE) with financial assistance from Kerala Infrastructure and Techlogy for Education (KIIFB).
dressing ceremony where he declared Kerala as first State in public education sector to become completely digital, CM apprised about government's effort to rejuvenate public education and said that mission was to develop our schools into international standards in acemic and or areas.

"This is achievement of our State which benefits next generation. LDF government has led mission. Four missions have anunced to rejuvenate public education. All missions were under local body governments. Even though State has a better public education system it could t develop timely," said Vijayan.
"In last 5 years, 5 lakhs students joined in government schools. Peoples attitude towards public education system has changed. Our mission was to develop our schools into international standards in acemics and or areas. A school in our vill should have same standards as best school in any part of world," he ded.

According to an official release, public education rejuvenation missions were implemented in State as part of Public Education Rejuvenation Mission. Chief Minister said that schools will be re-opened at appropriate time.

"Quality education should be provided to all. But schools can t reopen w. situation is t suitable to reopen schools. schools will be re-opened at appropriate time," he indicated regarding prevailing coronavirus situation.

Kerala Infrastructure and Techlogy for Education
Hi-Tech school programme is aimed at upgring all classrooms to international standards. Being pioneer of ICT enabled education Kerala for over a dece, KITE was identified as implementing ncy for programme. KITE has implemented Hi-Tech school programme by which 45,000 classrooms in 4,752 schools have been me Hi-Tech. project was funded by KIIFB, (Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board). KIIFB os dal ncy for monitoring all Govt projects. 4,752 schools include Govt ans Aided High Schools, Higher Secondary schools and Vocational Higher Secondary schools.
