In a bid to develop multi-skilled leers, Mahindra Group on Friday anunced launch of Mahindra University (MU) to drive interdisciplinary learning, integrating study of science and techlogy with humanities, ethics, philosophy, and design.

Prime Minister Modi lauded Mahindra Group for setting up automous university. In a letter, which was shared by Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra on his Twitter handle, PM Modi termed setting up of Mahindra University (MU) an mirable initiative.

"Education and kwledge are cornerstone of growth and progress of any nation or society. A university does t merely impart education but lays foundation of character building and nation building among future citizens of country," Modi said in letter.
Prime Minister ded, "Today, techlogy and invation have become driving force in every field of activity. This ble gesture of Mahindra Group will surely go a long way in providing quality and value-based education to students and also equip m for larger battles in life."

Centre aims at “permanent psychological support” through 'Madarpan' Initiative
Meanwhile, Union Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal launched ‘Madarpan’ initiative under ‘Atma Nirbhar Bharat’ on July 21 at 11 am. This move aims at providing “permanent psychological support” to all students, teachers and parents especially when most results are out and missions have started amid trying times of COVID-19 pandemic. virtual meet consisted of modules elaborating on how teachers and environment of schools can contribute to creating a healthy for students. It included Minister of State for HRD Shri Sanjay Dhotre, Secretary, Department of Higher Education, Shri Amit Khare; Secretary, School Education and Literacy Smt Anita Karwal along with senior officials of Ministry.

Prior to launch, through a recorded video mess, HRD Minister h informed that amid unprecedented coronavirus outbreak, government ackwledged need of continuing education on both, acemic front as well as mental well-being of students.
