Delhi education minister Manish Sisodia on Thursday interacted with government school students who could not clear the CBSE class XII exams this year

Delhi education minister Manish Sisodia on Thursday interacted with government school students who could t clear CBSE class XII exams this year and were placed in “essential repeat” category, to take ir feedback and encourd m to prepare better next year, at Delhi Secretariat. 

This year, Delhi government schools recorded 98 per cent results in CBSE class XII exams and while anuncing results for Class X and XII, CBSE used ‘Essential Repeat’ in place of ‘Fail’ this year for students.

While dressing students and ir parents Education Minister said, 'essential repeat' figure is very less in comparison to passed category. He furr went on to say that Delhi government would have been satisfied with 98 percent pass result; however, for government, result of 2 percent students from 'essential repeat' category equally matters and this is why meeting is being conducted to help se students to succeed in next acemic year.

Seeking feedback from students on areas where government can improve in education sector, Sisodia said re has been a drastic change in Delhi schools but if re is still something missing, n govt need student's help in fixing it. If a student isn’t able to succeed, government is open to introspect what is lacking in its system, he said. During interaction, principal or teachers were invited so that students could openly discuss ir issues with education minister.

students cited many reasons behind t clearing exams, including lack of interest in subjects, sickness, financial and personal issues. Sisodia said family issues may hinder children’s learning and re is a need to create a comprehensive support system for every child. He furr said parents would be counseled to allow students to take an acemic stream of ir choice after class X.
