Surendra, another key player, was instrumental in arranging solvers for Rocky. The CBI has also arrested Surendra, placing him in remand along with the four medical students. Surendra persuaded the medical students to solve the leaked paper.

According to CBI sources, the four AIIMS students successfully solved some NEET exam questions presented to them during interrogation, which they readily admitted. The CBI suspects that the solver medical students forwarded the paper and its answers to their contacts. Important leads are expected to be found from the laptops and mobile phones of these medical students, identified as Chandan Singh, Kumar Shanu, Rahul Anand, and Karan Jain.
