The Special CBI Court in Patna has ordered accused Baldev Kumar alias Chintu and Mukesh Kumar into CBI remand following a request from the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). On Tuesday, the CBI presented a copy of the FIR before the court, seeking custody of the suspects who were previously arrested by Bihar Police's Economic Offences Unit (EOU).

The FIR names eight individuals, including Sanjeev Mukhiya, Sikandar Yadavendu, Amit Anand, Ayush Raj, Nitish Kumar, Rakhi, Akhilesh, and Bittu, in connection with the NEET paper leak.

CBI is currently investigating six separate cases related to the NEET paper leak, with incidents reported from Bihar, Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Rajasthan.

Earlier this week, the EOU submitted an 80-page FIR to the CBI, accompanied by a comprehensive report spanning 2,000 pages.

Upon receiving these documents, the CBI initiated investigations at various locations in Patna, including Learn Play School and Boys Hostel at Khemnichak. The agency also visited the residence of prime suspect Sikandar Yadavendu, a junior engineer associated with Danapur town council, and a society in Patna.

The CBI's scrutiny extended to the government guest house where the alleged NEET question paper leak occurred. Reports indicate that the booking for this guest house was facilitated by Pritam, an aide of RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav.

Additionally, the CBI will delve into the activities of Oasis School in Hazaribagh, following reports of tampering with the booklet box received by the institution. Suspicions have also been cast on the involvement of the school's National Testing Agency (NTA) observer, center superintendent, principal, and a personnel from Hazaribagh-based Blue Dart courier who is currently absconding.

Despite the transfer of the case to CBI, EOU officials are set to attend the Supreme Court hearing scheduled for July 8, underscoring the ongoing involvement of Bihar Police in the investigation.

The CBI's probe continues as it unravels the complex web surrounding the NEET paper leak, aiming to bring all perpetrators to justice.
