National Institute of Techlogy, Warangal stated in its recent tification that all final semesters of institution will be cancelled owing to nationwide lockdown and coronavirus scare in country. examination committee along with senate agreed to move in a meeting held on June 1, 2020. After discussing various obstacles and parameters regarding conducting exams, committee made a decision to find alternate marking schemes and evaluation procedures, as mentioned in elaborate tification.

Here is alternate marking scheme and evaluation procedure for NIT Warangal exams:
Students will have to attend all online classes and lectures organised by NIT Warangal. All students’ attendance will be considered following standard procedure. For grading systems and marking schemes, evaluators will follow previous semester's marks that were obtained by students of NIT Warangal. ory and external lab practical exams which were due will also be marked based on previous semesters.

One proposal for grading formula as mentioned in tification that is S (Ex), A, B, C, D and P. This means that ne of students enrolled in end-semesters will be failed. For courses like UG, MTech, MSc, MCA re will be more examinations for last semester. In cases of MBA students, 30-mark case analysis or an open book test can be conducted depending on situation during mid-quarter exams.

Students who are unhappy with results can opt for a ‘one-time measure’ to reappear for desired subject in a later tenure. examination for same will follow a 60/40 format. former for written and latter for internal assessments. marks provided for same will be final and cant override initial marks.

“Students' choice for "ONE-time measure": If any student is t satisfied with this grade after results are published, he/she can opt for writing end semester exam physically as a "ONE-time measure" once institute resumes its function. Hence, grades of such students will be finalized only n. Students can opt for one or multiple courses for writing exams under "ONE-time measure". Such students have to write end-semester examination for a maximum of 60 marks. Marks in mid-semester and internal examinations conducted before 14th March 2020 will be taken for remaining 40 and grade will be awarded as per rmal procedure. marks secured in "ONE-time measure" exam will be final.”
