Railway Recruitment Board RRB has invited applications for recruitment of Junior Engineer in 2019. total Vacancy is for 13,487 Posts. limit is 18-33 years as on 01/01/2019. application fee for general/OBC is Rs. 500 while for SC/ST is Rs. 250 and for all women candidates, it is Rs. 250. Exam fees must be paid through Debit card, credit card, Net banking only.


Application process began on January 2, 2019. last date to apply is January 31, 2019. last date to complete online fee payment is February 5, 2019, while last date to complete form filling is February 7, 2019.

vacancies for junior engineer are 12,844 posts, while for Junior Engineer IT re are 29 posts. re are 227 vacancies for post of Depot Material and RRB is looking to recruit 387 Chemical and Metallurgical Assistants.

eligibility for RRB Recruitment Drive for JE is Degree/Diploma in engineering from any of recognized boards.  


Recruitment Process:


recruitment process of RRB JE will be done via test: first st Computer Based Test (CBT), second st CBT, and document check/medicinal exam as appropriate. Determination will be according to merit, based on CBTs.

1st St CBT (Common for all tified posts of this CEN): 


Duration: 90 minutes (120 Minutes for eligible PwBD candidates accompanied with Scribe)
of Questions: 100

1st st CBT is of screening nature and standard of questions for CBT will be generally in conformity with educational standards and/or minimum technical qualifications prescribed for posts. rmalized score of 1st st exam shall be used only for short listing of candidates for 2nd st exam as per ir merit. Candidates who are shortlisted for 2nd st CBT availing reservation benefits of a community, PwBD and ExSM shall continue to be considered only against that community for all subsequent sts of recruitment process. Questions will be of objective with multiple choices and are likely to include questions pertaining to:

 a. Mamatics: Number systems, BODMAS, Decimals, Fractions, LCM and HCF, Ratio and Proportion, Percents, Mensuration, Time and Work, Time and Distance, Simple and Compound Interest, Profit and Loss, Algebra, Geometry, Trigometry, Elementary Statistics, Square Root, Calculations, Calendar & Clock, Pipes & Cistern.

 b. General Intelligence and Reasoning: Analogies, Alphabetical and Number Series, Coding and Decoding, Mamatical operations, Relationships, Syllogism, Jumbling, Venn Diagram, Data Interpretation and Sufficiency, Conclusions and Decision Making, Similarities and Differences, Analytical reasoning, Classification, Directions, Statement – Arguments and Assumptions etc.

 c. General Awareness: Kwledge of Current affairs, Indian geography, culture and history of India including freedom struggle, Indian Polity and constitution, Indian Ecomy, Environmental issues concerning India and World, Sports, General scientific and techlogical developments etc.

 d. General Science: Physics, Chemistry and Life Sciences (up to 10th Standard CBSE syllabus).

Minimum percent of marks for eligibility in various categories: UR -40%, OBC-30%, SC-30%, ST -25%. se percent of marks for eligibility may be relaxed by 2% for PwBD candidates in case of short of PwBD candidates against vacancies reserved for m. 


2nd St CBT:

Shortlisting of Candidates for 2nd St CBT exam shall be based on rmalized marks obtained by m in 1st St CBT Exam. total number of candidates to be shortlisted for 2nd St shall be 15 times community wise total vacancy of Posts tified against RRB as per ir merit in 1st St CBT. However, Railways reserve right to increase/decrease this limit in total or for any specific category(s) as required to ensure availability of equate candidates for all tified posts.

of Questions: 150

Syllabus: 
Questions will be of objective with multiple choices and are likely to include questions pertaining to General Awareness, Physics and Chemistry, Basics of Computers and Applications, Basics of Environment and Pollution Control and Technical abilities for post.
