Soon after Election Commission anunced that Delhi assembly elections will be held in February 2019, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal took to Twitter to blow election bugle, claiming that election will be based on work done in state.

Javekar quips
Taking a veiled dig at Kejriwal, Union Minister Prakash Javekar was quick to respond while dressing a press conference alongside BJP Delhi chief Maj Tiwari. He said, " election will be on work only and t on lies", ding that Congress and AAP are trying in every way possible to create an atmosphere of violence.

Chief Election Commissioner of India Sunil Arora on Monday dressed media and anunced date for Delhi Assembly Elections. Election Commission of India in its press conference stated that National Capital will cast its votes in a single phase for assembly elections on February 8, Saturday. counting of votes for assembly polls will take place on February 11. last day of filing minations for candidates will be on January 21, minations are to be scrutinized by January 22 and last day to withdraw minations will be January 24.

ECI in its press dress, also stated that Model Code of Conduct for Delhi will be brought into effect immediately, and candidates will be given 15 days to carry out campaigning activities for polls.
Voters' slips to carry QR code
Techlogy will be an important component in upcoming Delhi polls as voters' slips will carry QR code to facilitate electors and speed up ir identification, officials said on Monday. CEO in Delhi h recently said that it would be first state/UT in which a booth app would be used in every polling station for first time in country.
