With the dissolution of the 16th Lok Sabha, following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's resignation and the subsequent acceptance of the resignation by President Ramnath Kovind, PM is all set to lay his claim on the upcoming government.
On Saturday evening, May 25, BJP and NDA will nominate Narendra Modi as PM in the parliamentary party meet at 4:30 PM, following which the PM Modi will go to Rashtrapati Bhavan to lay claims in front of the President to form the government.
On Friday, cabinet meeting was held in which the Prime Minister thanked all members in his cabinet after which he tendered his resignation to the President. The President accepted the resignation and requested the Prime Minister and the Union Council of Ministers to continue in office till the new Government is formed. Later he hosted a banquet in honour of the outgoing Union Council of Ministers, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
A day after BJP's massive win in the Lok Sabha elections 2019, when the party registered a victory of getting 303 seats, the biggest majority for a non-Congress party, Modi met BJP founders LK Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi and sought blessings. He will also be going to Gujarat on Sunday to meet his mother and on Monday to Varanasi from where he won the Lok Sabha elections with 673453 votes, to thank the people for their support.
