BJP patriarch and former Deputy Prime Minister of India LK Advani has congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his 'unprecedented victory' in the elections

BJP patriarch LK Advani, who served from 2002 to 2004 as the Deputy Prime Minister of India in the then PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee-led NDA government has congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his 'unprecedented victory' in the elections. The veteran also praised BJP president Amit Shah along with the party's karyakartas in spreading the party's message to every voter in India.
The seat of Gandhinagar in the state capital has been under BJP control for three decades, of which six-time Member of Parliament Advani, now 91, had held sway for the last twenty years till Shah was fielded from the seat in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls.

At the time of publishing, BJP President Amit Shah is leading in Gandhinagar by a record of 4 lakh votes and was given a grand welcome when he arrived at the BJP headquarters.

Prior to this, with the NDA leading with 341 seats, BJP chief Amit Shah expressed his gratitude to the nation and said that it is time for Modi government again.
In a series of tweets, he said that this landslide victory of the BJP is a victory for India. It is the victory for the hopes of farmers, youth and poor. He then congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi for leading a strong government in the past five years. "This win is the entire country's win. The country's youth, poor and farmers hopes comprise today's victory. I congratulate BJP workers and PM Narendra Modi for it" (sic)
