Chhattisgarh elections 2018: Jan Ki Baat exit poll projects BJP to come on top again
Republic TV on Friday announced the result of the Jan Ki Baat exit polls for the state of Chhattisgarh. The first phase of voting in the state took place on November 12 and the second phase on November 20.

As per Jan Ki Baat exit polls, BJP is predicted to form government in Chhattisgarh for fourth consecutive term by winning a seat share between 40-48. Congress is projected to repeat its 2013 assembly elections fate by securing second position with 39-42 seats in 2018 poll results. newly formed Mayawati-led BSP and Ajit Jogi led JCC alliance is predicted to win 5-6 seats.

Ors are projected to win 0-1 seats, as per Jan Ki Baat exit polls.

For 90 seats in Chhattisgarh state, re is a three-way contest between BJP, Congress and newly formed Mayawati-Ajit Jogi led alliance. With Congress and BJP going he-to-he, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress president Rahul Gandhi campaigning heavily in state, along with long-time Chief Minister Raman Singh of BJP and surprise face Navjot Singh Sidhu for Congress, re is every chance that election result may also be a referendum on faces of various parties.
BJP's Raman Singh being longest serving Chief Minister in Chhattisgarh has been a popular face among voters, thanks to various pro welfare schemes that he introduced during his tenure.
While re was a call for boycott of elections by Maoists in state, re was a massive voters turnout who went ahe to cast ir vote to form new government.
In 2013, BJP won majority in state with 49 seats while Congress stood second with a wafer thin margin by winning 39 seats. Moreover, BSP secured only one seat in state.
