Congress releases list of 40 campaigners for the upcoming elections
The Indian National Congress, on Friday, released a list of 40 campaigners for the upcoming elections in Harayana. The elections will take place on October 21.

Indian National Congress (INC) has anunced a list of 40 campaigners for upcoming elections in Haryana. list included most of senior party workers and also included Ashok Tanwar, who has been dropped from list of candidates contesting polls

Tanwar h been dropped from list of candidates after he publicly criticised interim Congress President Sonia Gandhi for giving away his seat to ar member. Tanwar and his supporters also std a protest outside residence of Sonia Gandhi. He accused senior leers of giving away seat for a price of Rs 5 crores.

Big names included
list released by party also includes Ashok Gehlot, Ghulam Nabi Az and Sachin Pilot, but excluded Navjot Singh Sidhu who has previously always been on list. A few months ago, Sidhu was criticised for hugging Pakistan's Army chief Qamar Javed Bajwa during his visit to Pakistan. Later, in a cabinet reshuffle, he was divested of important portfolios. Sidhu n wrote a resignation letter and dressed it to Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh as well as Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi. It was later accepted by CM.

list also includes names of Anand Sharma, Salman Khurshid, Kumari Selja, Ajay Singh Yav, Kiran Chaudhary, Randeep Singh Surjewala, Jyotiritya Scindia, Kuldeep Bishi, Rajiv Shukla, Rajiv Babbar, Sunil Jakhar, Pawan Khera, Mukesh Agnihotri, Raj Babbar and Rajeev Shukla among ors. Chief ministers from or Congress-ruled states such as Chhattisgarh, Mhya Presh and Rajasthan will also seek votes for party.
Upcoming elections
Election Commission anunced that elections in Harayana and Maharashtra will take place on Monday, October 21 with counting to take place on Thursday, October 24. last date of filing mination was October 4 and INC has finalized list of candidates who will contest elections.

INC's rival, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is currently ruling in both states and former is hoping to fight India's dominant party amidst serious and embarrassing infighting amongst leers of parties in both states.
