Minutes after Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a sensational charge on Rajiv Gandhi of misusing India's warship INS Viraat, National Conference leader Omar Abdullah targeted PM Modi for talking about Rajiv Gandhi in 2019 Lok Sabha election campaign.
Taking to Twitter, he said that it seems as if Prime Minister has a time-machine and therefore he can go back and is contesting the 1989 General elections against Rajiv Gandhi. He also took a jibe saying 'oh to be 19 again'.

His comment comes after the PM on Wednesday, May 8 in Delhi's Ramlila Maidan accused Rajiv Gandhi of misusing Indian warship.
PM Modi said, "Congress' biggest family (Gandhi) had misused the pride of country INS Viraat like its personal taxi. They had insulted it. This incident is of that time when Rajiv Gandhi was the Prime Minister of the country and they had gone out on vacation for 10 days. During that time, INS Viraat was stationed to guard the maritime boundaries, but it was sent to bring the Gandhi family who was going on vacation. After that, INS Viraat had stopped at a special island with their entire family. It was there for 10 days. Among those who were holidaying with Rajiv Gandhi, their in-laws were also included."

"Your father was termed 'Mr Clean' by his courtiers, but his life ended as 'Bhrashtachari No 1' (corrupt number 1). By hurling abuses, you cannot turn the 50 long years of Modi's Tapasya (struggle) into dust. By tarnishing my image and by making me look small, these people want to form an unstable and a weak government in the country " PM Modi said.
