National Approval Ratings: Out of 24 seats in 7 north-eastern states combined, NDA is predicted to win over UPA

With a three day countdown to the Lok Sabha elections 2019 underway, 900 million Indias citizens are set to exercise their role in the biggest democracy to determine their political representatives for 543 parliamentary seats. It's a political race where PM Narendra Modi is foreseeing his second term, while the Opposition is aiming to oust the NDA government.

With a three day countdown to the Lok Sabha elections 2019 underway, 900 million Indias citizens are set to exercise their role in the biggest democracy to determine their political representatives for 543 parliamentary seats. It's a political race where PM Narendra Modi is foreseeing his second term, while the Opposition is aiming to oust the NDA government. 

Republic TV and CVoter have presented the National Approval Ratings i.e the biggest opinion poll ahead of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

North East states predictions (Assam, Manipur, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura, and Nagaland)

Out of 24 seats in the 7 north-eastern states combined, NDA is likely to win 13 seats, while the UPA is predicted to win only 9 seats. MNF and AIUDF are set to gain 1 seat each.

ASSAM

In Assam, 14 seats are up for grabs. The polls have predicted that the UPA is the frontrunner leading in 7 seats, while the NDA is flowing with a close lead in 6 seats and the All Inda United Democratic Front (AIUDF) is projected to gain a seat.

NDA: 7 seats
UPA: 6 seats
AIUDF: 1

Vote Share:

Speaking in terms of vote share, UPA leads the pack with a projected share of 44.4%. While as NDA is projected to garner 42.6% of the votes and AIUDF is projected to garner a small 2.7% of the vote, while other independent parties are projected to garner 10.3% of the votes.

UPA: 44.4%
NDA: 42.6%
AIUDF: 2.7%
Others: 10.3%

Assam is set to vote in three phases. In the first phase on April 11, polls will be held for 5 constituencies in Assam. Meanwhile in the second phase, on April 18, polls will be held for 5 constituencies and the remaining 4 constituencies will vote in the third phase on April 23.

MANIPUR

Seat Share:
In Manipur, 2 seats are up for grabs. The polls have predicted that both UPA and NDA will gain a seat each.

NDA: 1 seat
UPA: 1 seat

Vote Share:

Speaking in terms of vote share, UPA leads the pack with a projected share of 40.1%. While as NDA is projected to garner 39.1% of the votes and other independent parties are projected to garner 20.8% of the votes.

UPA: 40.1%
NDA: 39.1%
Others: 20.8%

Manipur is set to vote in two phases. In the first phase on April 11, polls will be held for 1 constituency and the remaining  consituency will vote in the second phase, on April 18.

MEGHALAYA

Seat Share:

In Meghalaya, 2 seats are up for grabs. The polls have predicted that both UPA and NDA will gain a seat each.

NDA: 1 seat
UPA: 1 seat

Vote Share:

Speaking in terms of vote share, NDA leads the pack with a projected share of 38.8%. While as UPA is projected to garner 37.9% of the votes and other independent parties are projected to garner 23.2% of the votes.

UPA: 40.1%
NDA: 39.1%
Others: 20.8%

Meghalaya is set to vote in a single phase on April 11.

MIZORAM

Seat Share:

In Mizoram, 1 seat is up for grabs. The polls have predicted that the Mizo National Front (MNF) will gain that seat. 

MNF: 1 seat

Vote Share:

Speaking in terms of vote share, MNF leads the pack with a projected share of 44%. While as UPA is projected to garner 38.6% of the votes and the NDA which trails the pack, is projected to garner only 4.4% of the votes.

MNF: 44%
UPA: 38.6%
NDA: 20.8%

Mizoram is set to vote in a single phase on April 11.

NAGALAND:

In Nagaland, 1 seat is up for grabs. The polls have predicted that the NDA will gain that seat. 

NDA: 1 seat

Vote Share:

Speaking in terms of vote share, NDA leads the pack with a projected share of 55.1%. While as other independent parties are projected to garner 41.5% of the votes and the UPA which trails the pack, is projected to garner only 3.5% of the votes.

NDA: 55.1%
Others: 41.5%
UPA:3.5%

Nagaland is set to vote in a single phase on April 11.

TRIPURA:

In Tripura, 2 seats are up for grabs. The polls have predicted that the NDA will gain both seats.

NDA: 2 seats

Vote Share:

Speaking in terms of vote share, NDA leads the pack with a projected share of 44.9%. CPM is predicted to garner the second highest share of 31.9% of the votes, other independent parties are projected to garner 10.4% of the votes and the UPA is projected to garner only 12.5% of the votes.

NDA: 44.9%
CPM: 31.9%
Others: 10.4%
UPA:12.5%

Tripura is set to vote in two phases. In the first phase on April 11, polls will be held for 1 constituency and the remaining constituency will vote in the second phase, on April 18.

ARUNACHAL PRADESH:

Seat Share:

In Arunachal Pradesh, 2 seats are up for grabs. The polls have predicted that both UPA and NDA will gain a seat each.

NDA: 1 seat
UPA: 1 seat

Vote Share:

Speaking in terms of vote share, UPA leads the pack with a projected share of 37.5%. While as the NDA is projected to follow closely, garnering 34.9% of the votes and other independent parties are projected to garner 27.7% of the votes.

UPA: 37.5%
NDA: 34.9%
Others: 27.7%

Arunachal Pradesh is set to vote in a single phase on April 11.

The polling will take place in seven phases for all the 29 states and seven Union Territories beginning from April 11 to May 7, 2019. The results will be announced on May 23, 2019.
