PM Narendra Modi to visit his mother on Sunday to seek blessings; will be in Varanasi the day after. Here's what he said

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on May 23 led the BJP to a massive victory of winning 303 seats in the 542 seats of the lower house of the Parliament. A day after tendering his resignation to the President and addressing his cabinet for the last time in 16th Lok Sabha, he said that he will meet his mother to seek blessings on Sunday. He also added that he will go to Varanasi a day after to express his gratitude to the people of his constituency who has reposed faith on him.
As Narendra Modi registered his second landslide victory in the Lok Sabha elections 2019, his mother Heeraben Modi expressed her happiness by stepping outside her residence in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, and greeted the media. The visuals show her stepping out of her house with the support of other family members, following which she greeted the people and media outside her house with folded hands. In the visuals, people can be heard raising 'Vande Mataram' slogans.
On May 24, he also sought blessings from the party founders LK Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi by going to their residence along with party chief Amit Shah. Taking to Twitter thanked Advani. He said that it was because of his efforts that the party has come such a long way. He also met Joshi and said that he is the one who has mentored many party workers including him. He also added that his contribution to improving Indian education is remarkable.
Later, he had a cabinet meeting, following which he went to the Rashtrapati Bhavan and met the President Ramnath Kovind where the President accepted the resignation and requested the Prime Minister and the Union Council of Ministers to continue in office till the new Government is formed. Later he hosted a banquet in honour of the outgoing Union Council of Ministers, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
