Tej Pratap Yadav refutes forming a new party, says 'will forever be RJD leader'

Taking to Twitter, former RJD's students wing convener Tej Pratap Yadav clarified saying, "It is a rumour that I am starting a new political party. I completely dismiss the reports. Rashtriya Janata Dal is my party, and will always remain so.

Furthermore, he is all set to begin campaigning for the party from Bihar's Maner in Pataliputra constituency from April 8. Lalu's daughter Misa Bharti is fighting polls from Pataliputra. In 2014, Bharti lost this seat to Ram Kripal Yadav of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Earlier, on April 2, Tej Pratap Yadav and his personal assistant had received death threats over the phone. As per initial reports, the caller identified himself as RJD student wing leader.

An FIR was lodged at Police Station regarding the same, news agency ANI confirmed.

On March 28, he resigned as the 'sanrakshak' (mentor) of the party's students wing. Taking to Twitter, he made the announcement of his resignation.
"I am resigning from the post of Chhatra Rashtriya Janata Dal Sanrakshak. Those who think I am ignorant are ignorant themselves. I am well aware of who is worth what," he tweeted.

The Lok Sabha polls in Bihar are scheduled to take place in all seven phases from April 11 to May 19. The results will be declared on May 23.
