AIADMK announces Edappadi Palaniswami as CM candidate for 2021 Tamil Nadu polls

Even as members of party celebrated by bursting crackers and showering flowers on ir beloved leers, in meeting, OPS anunced that Edappi Palaniswani is chosen candidate for CM Candidate. Ops also said that he (EPS) was chosen unanimously by members.

Several thronged outside AIMK hequarters early this morning, from fans to supporters of party, all erly awaiting decision that will be taken in meeting today.

CM EPS and Dy. CM OPS arrived around 10 am at party hequarters amidst loud cheers by ir supporters with praises of "TamilNu's next CM" in air.
senior ministers of AIMK h held meetings late until Wednesday early morning 3 am between two leers, EPS and OPS. se negotiations and talks have been going on for past two weeks between two leers with several ministers going back and forth between residence of two leers.

OPS in meeting at took place at 10:00 am anunced that 11-member steering committee h also been set up for AIMK party.

11- member Steering Committee includes top AIMK members, Dindigul C Sreenivasan, P Thangamani, S P Velumani, D Jayakumar, C Ve Shanmugam, R Kamaraj, JCD Prabhakar, P H Maj Pandian, P Mohan, R Gopalakrishnan and Manickam. Sources within party te that steering committee was one of major demands of Dy. CM OPS since 2017 and that this steering committee h been finalised in a 5:6 ratio, 5 members from Camp OPS, and 6 members from camp EPS.

Breaking his silence amidst ongoing talks, O Paneerselvam took to Twitter on Monday and said all his decision were taken keeping in mind interests of people of state and AIMK cres.
