As BJP sweeps three states, RS Prasad speaks about its national impact in 2024
Trends by Election Commission showed pro-incumbency in BJP-ruled Madhya Pradesh and anti-incumbency in the Congress-ruled states of Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh.

As Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is set to sweep Mhya Presh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh, senior party leer Ravi Shankar Pras, talking about national impact of assembly elections, said that saffron party will secure a “huge victory” in 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

This result is limitation of vote bank politics. In Telangana, we only h one seat and now we are winning 10 seats…Now, what will be future of INDI Alliance? Now, everyone will say that Rahul Gandhi brand has finished and we should le (INDI Alliance). In Lok Sabha elections, we will have a huge victory,” Ravi Shankar told Republic.

Hitting out at a grand old party, BJP reminded Rahul Gandhi that latter is in politics due to his family background. He said that BJP's politics is based on development and welfare of people.
As votes were counted for assembly elections to four states on Sunday, trends on Election Commission showed pro-incumbency in BJP-ruled Mhya Presh and anti-incumbency in Congress-ruled states of Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh.

In Mhya Presh, party seemed set for anor term in power with les in 162 seats and Congress trailing far behind at 65 in 230-member assembly.
In Rajasthan, saffron party was ahe in 112 seats, well over halfway mark, Congress h les in 72. Voting was held in 199 seats as polling in one was put off due to death of a candidate. Congress, riven by factionalism, was helmed by Ashok Gehlot in state, but BJP, interestingly, has no chief ministerial face.

While trends were clear in two states, many Congress workers still held out hope that party would retain power in Chhattisgarh. Presently, BJP is leing in 53 seats while Congress in 34 seats, with close contest in few constituencies.
proverbial silver lining in dark cloud for Congress, hoping desperately for political revival, was Telangana where it was poised to snatch power from BRS. Congress was ahe in 65 seats, leaving BRS with les in 39 seats in 119-member house.
