Asif Bhamla joins the BJP ahead of Maharashtra assembly elections

Asif Bhamla joined the BJP as the state spokesperson of the party ahead of the upcoming assembly polls; he said he will be working for a greater cause

Ahe of Maharashtra assembly polls, founder of Bhamla Foundation, Asif Bhamla, on Wednesday has joined Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). In presence of BJP State President Chandrakant Patil and Minister of School Education, Sports and Youth Welfare of Maharashtra Ashish Shelar, Asif Bhamla joined party as  state spokesperson.

Asif Bhamla took to Twitter to anunce his arrival in saffron party. He said he is joining party in order to work for a greater cause for all sections of society.

Former Goverr of Maharashtra C Vidyasagar Rao, who recently stepped down from his gubernatorial responsibility, took primary membership of BJP afresh on Monday. Rao h been a senior BJP leer from Telangana before assuming responsibility of Maharashtra Goverr. He h served as president of BJP and also party's floor leer in assembly in undivided Andhra Presh. He h also served as a Union Minister in NDA government heed by Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

EC Reviews Poll Preparedness Ahe Of Elections

Election Commission of India (ECI) reviewed poll preparedness on Wednesday, ahe of upcoming Maharashtra Assembly elections which are tentatively due in October-vember, 2019. Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora along with officials of state election commission and state police officers met political parties who are vying for elections.

"Election Commission is looking after poll preparation. y are meeting with political parties. We told m that Commission should prepare a plan since Diwali festival is also coinciding. We said that  election should be held in phases. We demanded that Media Certification Committee should be open 24x7 and approve publicity material quickly. We also requested that expenditure of a candidate should also be increased," Shiv Sena leer Anil Desai told ANI.
