On Sunday, BJP workers gheraoed Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Modi outside party office, over candidature of Lakhisarai constituency. According to sources, this demonstration took place against candidature of Vijay Sinha. protesters held up Sushil Kumar Modi's vehicle for around 10 minutes, with party cres trying to push m out of way.
workers stopped vehicle from moving at BJP's office and demanded cancellation of sitting MLA Vijay Sinha's candidature for Lakhisarai constituency. Deputy CM later was escorted out by police.

Workers say, "Candidate should be local. Kumari Babita, working with us for last 25 yrs, should be me candidate"
BJP State President Sanjay Jaiswal maintained that supporters of different candidates do voice ir support for m in run-up to polls. Jaiswal also said that re is a set procedure for selection of candidates and final decision will be me based on eligibility of candidate.

Earlier, BJP supporters were allegedly involved in manhandling of Jan hikar Party activists a couple of days ago, leaving three persons injured.

Bihar Election dates anunced
Election Commission of India in a press conference on Friday anunced schedule for Bihar assembly elections. Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sunil Arora said that polls for 243-member legislative assembly will be held in three phases. First phase will be held on October 28, Second on vember 3 and third on vember 7, while counting of votes and results declaration will be held on vember 10. Sunil Arora also informed that Model Code of Conduct will be in effect from Friday with anuncement of election dates.
