Maharashtra BJP chief Chandrakant Patil on Saturday said that swearing-in of Uddhav Thackeray ministry is illegal as it went beyond prescribed format. Ministers while taking oath included names of ir leers and or figures which is t as per protocol, Patil told reporters at Vidhan Bhawan. NCP spokesperson Nawab Malik rubbished Patil's claims saying many BJP MPs h done same thing. "If Patil's yardstick is used, half Lok Sabha will be empty," he ded. "People h voted for BJP-Shiv Sena alliance which got 161 MLAs, but Shiv Sena betrayed mandate. Since first press conference y h started talking about alternatives," Patil said.

Meanwhile, ahe of 2 pm floor test of new government in Assembly, ruling Shiv Sena, NCP, Congress issue whip to MLAs to remain present in House. Earlier on Saturday, CM Uddhav Thackeray paid tributes to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in Vidhan Bhawan premises ahe of floor test. Shiv Sena, NCP and Congress formed government after Thackeray-led party fell out with pre-poll ally BJP over sharing chief ministerial post. BJP emerged as single largest party winning 105 seats. Shiv Sena, NCP and Congress won 56, 54 and 44 seats respectively in October 21 polls.
