Election Commission (EC) on Monday, December 16, has sought a factual report from Jharkhand poll authorities over Congress leer Rahul Gandhi's 'Rape in India' remark. Rahul Gandhi h me comment while dressing an election rally in state. According to reports, EC is seeking a factual report after a few BJP leers h approached poll panel against Gandhi for using rape as a "tool to target political rivals" and demanded action against him. Furr, official sources from EC stated that action would be contemplated after receiving  report.

Rahul Gandhi's 'Rape in India' comment

Congress leer Rahul Gandhi earlier on Thursday, December 12, h said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Make in India' scheme h failed as it h become 'rape in India' while dressing a rally in election-bound Jharkhand. He h said, "Wherever you see in nation, Narendra Modi h said Make in India. But w wherever you see, 'Make in India' is t happening, it is 'rape in India'." His comment comes days after he h termed India as 'rape capital of world'. His comments have been me amid growing demand for hanging Nirbhaya's rape convicts and horrific gangrape and murder of 27-year old Hyderab doctor.

In an attempt to decry PM Modi for crimes against women in country, Rahul Gandhi labelled India as 'rape capital' of world. dressing a public rally in Kerala's Wayan, senior Congress leer said that global nations are questioning India's ability to protect women.  Congress leer also blamed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for increase in crimes against women while dressing a rally in Sulthan Bary, Kerala. Listing increasing violence against Dalits, mirities, and women, he said it was because PM Modi believes in violence.
