Haryana elections: Shiromani Akali Dal announces alliance with INLD
The Shiromani Akali Dal, on Wednesday, announced that it will contest the upcoming Haryana assembly polls in alliance with the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD)

Days after severing ties with BJP in Haryana, Shiromani Akali Dal (S) on Wednesday anunced to contest state assembly polls in alliance with Indian National Lok Dal (INLD). S, which is part of ruling NDA at Centre, h snapped ties with BJP in state after its lone MLA from Kalanwali Balkaur Singh switched to saffron party. S h contested 2014 assembly elections in state in alliance with INLD. ir alliance h come to an end in 2017 over issue of Sutlej-Yamuna link canal.
Akali Dal candidates to final mination on Thursday
On Thursday, Akali candidates will file ir mination papers from Kalanwali, Ratia and Guhla Cheeka. remaining seats, which would be contested jointly with INLD, would be declared on October 3, said S vice-president Daljit Singh Cheema here on Wednesday evening. He, however, refused to tell on how many seats S will be fielding its candidates. In a statement here, S chief Sukhbir Singh Bal said party patron Parkash Singh Bal and INLD supremo Om Prakash Chautala would accompany Ratia and Kalanwali candidates for filing of mination papers.

S-INLD Alliance
Rajinder Singh Desujodha, who defected to S from BJP on Tuesday, will file his mination papers for Kalanwali seat while Kulwinder Singh Kunal will submit papers for Ratia assembly segment. Ram Kumar Revarh Jagir would be S-INLD candidate from Guhla Cheeka, said Cheema. S was initially looking to forge an alliance with BJP for Haryana assembly elections. However, it could t materialise. S h taken a strong exception to induction of Akali MLA Balkaur Singh into BJP fold, terming it "unethical". S h also accused BJP of backtracking from its commitment of contesting Haryana assembly polls jointly after "soliciting" its support for Lok Sabha elections.
