Setback for Congress as Hiraman Bhika Khoskar Joins Ajit Pawar's NCP Ahead of Maharashtra Polls

Mumbai: The Congress party experienced another setback after its MLA from Igatpuri, Hiraman Bhika Khoskar joined Ajit Pawar 's NCP ahead of the Maharashtra elections.

Khoskar joined the party in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and State NCP President Sunil Tatkare.

"Hiraman Bhika Khoskar joined the NCP with dozens of his supporters including former Zila Parishad member Sampatnana Sakale in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and Maharashtra NCP President Sunil Tatkare in Pune," said NCP in a statement.

"Khoskar enjoys much support in Nashik region particularly in the tribal community," the statement added.
