'Imported' Remark Row: What's The Official Stand of 'MahaVinashAghadi'? Shaina NC Taunts Sanjay Raut

Mumbai: Shiv Sena Shinde Shaina NC candidate from Mumbai’s Mumbevi assembly constituency lashes out at Shiv Sena (UBT) leer Sanjay Raut for him defending Arvind Sawant over his derogatory remark “Imported Maal” by saying that Sawant does not need to apologize. As Maharashtra assembly election approaches, Shiv Sena (UBT) leer, Arvind Sawant finds himself in center of controversy.

"...I want to ask Shiv Sena (UBT) about statement of Sanjay Raut, who said that he (Arvind Sawant) doesn't need to apologise as she (Shaina NC) is "imported"... I want to say to Sanjay Raut that if you have no objection to word "maal", it shows you mentality... What is official stand of "MahaVinashAghi"?... You (Arvind Sawant) apologised, 30 hours after an FIR has been lodged and n Sanjay Raut says that re is no need for an apology..." Shaina said in press conference. 

“Would he react same way if remark was directed at a woman from his religion or community,” she asked. Sena (UBT) should spell out its stand on women's respect, she said.

Shaina NC demanded clarity on official stance of Maha Vikas Aghi coalition, terming it as “MahaVinashAghi”.

FIR against Sawant was filed at Nagpa Police Station under Sections 79 and 356 (2) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Arvind Sawant issued an apology on Saturday for his alleged derogatory comments aimed at rival Shiv Sena assembly election candidate Shaina N C, just one day after a case was filed against him regarding incident.

“Under pressure, Arvind Sawant apologised after 30 hours, while (his party colleague) Sanjay Raut justifies me being dismissed as an ‘imported maal’,” Shaina told a press conference.
