Jharkhand Assembly Elections Phase 2: Parties Run Door-To-Door Campaigns to Woo Voters
Ahead of the second phase of the Jharkhand Assembly Elections 2024 on November 20, political parties are making one more attempt to woo the voters.

Ranchi: A day before 2nd phase of polling for Jharkhand assembly elections on Wednesday, political parties are leaving no stone unturned to reach out to voters with door-to-door canvassing and social media campaigns.
Thirty-eight assembly seats are going to polls in second and final round, while first phase of voting for 43 segments was held on November 13.

ruling JMM-led INDIA bloc and BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) are making efforts to galvanise people's support through social media posts.

This exercise is underway even after election campaigns for second phase of polling officially ended on Monday as re is no bar on seeking votes through door-to-door canvassing with up to five political workers, according to guidelines issued by Election Commission.
Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who is also BJP's election in-charge for Jharkhand, posted a video clip on X and appealed to voters to exercise ir franchise in favour of saffron camp on November 20.

Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Tuesday sought people's support through a post on X.
"I am seeking your support for my work and future vision plan. Look at every scheme of my government - re is no caste-based restriction in it," Soren claimed.

He also posted a list of work that his government has done and uploed a slew of promises which, he claimed, would be fulfilled if JMM-led coalition retains power.
In an apparent attack on BJP, JMM candidate and Soren's wife Kalpana posted on X, "We will choose love and development, not hatred and conspiracy. y will not be able to break courage of us by putting Hemant ji in jail." Altoger 528 candidates, including 55 women and one belonging to third gender, are in fray in 38 seats.
A total of 1.23 crore voters, including 60.79 lakh women, are eligible to exercise ir franchise in voting on Wednesday.
Over 14,000 polling stations have been set up in both rural and urban areas for second and final phase of Jharkhand assembly elections.
