New Delhi: Seven former chief ministers, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, were sworn in as members of new council of ministers on Sunday. 

Joining PM Modi are Shivraj Singh Chouhan (Mhya Presh), Rajnath Singh (Uttar Presh), Manohar Lal Khattar (Haryana), Sarbananda Sonowal (Assam), H D Kumaraswamy (Karnataka), and Jitan Ram Manjhi (Bihar).

While five of se former chief ministers hail from Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Kumaraswamy and Manjhi represent two of BJP's allies -- JD(S) and Hindustani Awam Morcha, respectively.
