Baba Siddique Joins NCP After Ditching Congress in Maharashtra

Mumbai: Days after he resigned from the Congress party, former Maharashtra Minister Baba Siddique on Saturday joined the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) in the presence of party chief and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, in Mumbai, news agency ANI reported. Siddiqui was welcomed by deputy CM Pawar and top NCP leaders, including working president Praful Patel and state president Sunil Tarkare.

Siddiqui had quit the Congress on February 8. 

Moments after joining the NCP, Siddique reportedly said, “When you are not being listened to, you should move aside… I am sad, but happy too".

"I am sad because I am not thick-skinned”, ANI quoted Siddique as saying.
