Fresh Faces, Fresh Roles: What First Timers Got in Modi Cabinet 3.0
The majority of the berths in the newly formed government are allocated to the BJP, with the remaining going to its allied parties.

New Delhi: In a major political move, the Modi 3.0 Cabinet announced portfolios with the big four ministers retained signalling a huge continuity in terms of key government policies. On Sunday, alongside Prime Minister Narendra Modi, 30 cabinet ministers, 4 Minister of state (independent charge) and 36 ministers of state sworn in. While, Amit Shah, Nirmala Sitharaman, S Jaishankar and Rajnath Singh have retained their previous roles, the cabinet features 33 first-timers sworn in in the third term of the Narendra Modi led-government on June 9. The list includes four former CMs and several other known political leaders.

The BJP-led NDA government also ensured representation for its first MP in Kerala, Suresh Gopi. Meanwhile, Hindustani Awami Morcha President Jitan Ram Manjhi secured a ministerial berth. Among the fresh faces from the BJP in the Council of Ministers are Jitin Prasada, Raksha Khadse, Muralidhar Mohol, and V Somanna.

Union Cabinet
Shivraj Singh Chouhan: Union agriculture and rural development ministry
Manohar Lal Khattar: Minister of housing and urban affairs; and minister of power.
HD Kumaraswamy: Minister of heavy industries; and minister of steel.
Piyush Goyal: Minister of commerce and industry.
Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh: Minister of panchayati raj; and minister of fisheries, animal husbandry and dairying.
Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu: Minister of civil aviation.
Chirag Paswan: Minister of food processing industries.
Ministers of state (independent charge)
Jadhav Prataprao Ganpatrao: Minister of state (independent charge) of ministry of Ayush; and minister of state in the ministry of health and family welfare.
Jayant Chaudhary: Minister of state (independent charge) of the ministry of skill development and entrepreneurship; and minister of state in the ministry of education.

This comes as on Monday, June 10, Prime Minister Narendra Modi assumed the office for the third consecutive time emphasising dedication for better and developed India. Earlier arriving at the South Block, taking charge, is first action was signing a file authorizing the release of the 17th instalment of PM Kisan Nidhi, benefiting 9.3 crore farmers with a distribution of approximately Rs 20,000 crores.
