BJP Clean Sweeps Gujarat, Wins 25 Out of 26 Lok Sabha Seats

The Bharatiya Janata Party has won 25 out of 26 Lok Sabha seats in Gujarat, revealed Election Commission data. 

In the Bharuch seat, BJP's sitting MP, Mansukh Vasava, defeated Aam Aadmi Party's Chaitar Vasava by a margin of 85,696.

Union Home Minister and BJP leader Amit Shah won the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency by over 7.44 lakh votes.

Gujarat BJP president and sitting MP CR Paatil on Tuesday won Navsari Lok Sabha constituency by a margin of 7.73 lakh votes, handing a crushing defeat to his nearest Congress rival Naishadh Desai. With this victory, Paatil has secured a fourth straight term in Lok Sabha.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won Ahmedabad East, Ahmedabad West, Mahesana and Junagadh Lok Sabha constituencies in Gujarat as the Election Commision of India declared early results of the Lok Sabha elections on Tuesday evening.

H S Patel won from Ahmedabad East by a margin of 4.61 lakh votes, Dinesh Makwana won from Ahmedabad West by 2.86 lakh votes, Haribhai Patel won from Mahesana by 3.28 lakh votes and Rajesh Chudasama won from Junagadh by 1.35 lakh votes. All of them defeated their nearest Congress rivals.

BJP leader and Union minister Parshottam Rupala has gained a comfortable lead of more than 4.65 lakh votes in Gujarat's Rajkot Lok Sabha seat over his nearest Congress rival Paresh Dhanani. Rupala has so far received 8,22,362 votes, while Dhanani, a former Congress MLA, got 3,52,373 votes.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Union minister Mansukh Mandaviya looks all set to win from the Porbandar Lok Sabha seat in Gujarat as he is leading by over 3.8 lakh votes. 

Union Home Minister and BJP candidate from Gujarat's Gandhinagar Lok Sabha seat Amit Shah leading from the seat with a margin of 4,88,250 votes. 

BJP leader Mansukh Mandaviya is leading from Porbandar Lok Sabha seat, showed data on the Election Commission's website. Mandaviya is leading by 61435 votes. 

As per the latest trends available on the website of Election Commission, the BJP is leading in 22 seats in Gujarat. While the Congress is leading in 3 seats. 

BJP leader Amit Shah is ahead on Gandhinagar seat, while Mansukh Mandaviya is leading from Porbandar. Congress candidate Geniben Thakor was ahead on Banaskantha seat, leaving behind her BJP rival Rekha Chaudhary. In Sabarkantha, Congress candidate and tribal leader Tushar Chaudhary was leading in early trends.

In the Vadodara seat, BJP's Hemang Joshi was ahead. The BJP candidates were ahead in Ahmedabad (East), Panchmahal, Vadodara, Chhota Udepur, Bardoli, Valsad, Bhavnagar, Porbandar and Bharuch. 

As per initial trends, BJP is leading on 20 seats in Gujarat, while the Congress is leading on 2 seats. 

As per initial trends, Union Home minister and BJP leader Amit Shah is leading from Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency. 

Counting for the 25 Lok Sabha seats of Gujarat began at 8am. 

In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP won all 26 seats in Gujarat, while the Congress failed to win a single seat.

BJP is all set to claim victory by winning 24 to 26 seats in Gujarat in the Lok Sabha Elections 2024, leaving 2 or no seats for Congress, as per Republic-PMARQ and Republic Martize.

The counting of votes will be held from 8 am on Tuesday at 26 centres across Gujarat amid three-tier security arrangements. Polling for 25 out of the 26 Lok Sabha seats in Gujarat were held in a single phase on May 7.

More than 250 candidates contested the polls, which witnessed 60.13 per cent voter turnout.
