As caretaker PM Modi is all set for his swearing-in ceremony on June 9, leaders from neighbouring nations are expected to attend the event, said sources.

New Delhi: As caretaker Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set for his swearing-in ceremony this weekend, leers from several neighbouring countries are arriving to attend event. swearing-in ceremony for Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, initially scheduled for June 8, will now take place on June 9 at 7:15 PM.
Narendra Modi will be sworn in as prime minister for a historic third term in a row with Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) securing victory in 293 Lok Sabha seats.

Top leers of Banglesh, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Nepal and Mauritius are expected to be among foreign leers who will grace event.

media division of Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe's office said Modi invited him to swearing-in ceremony. It said Wickremesinghe accepted invite and congratulated Modi on electoral victory in a phone call, news agency PTI reported
"During conversation, Prime Minister @narendramodi invited President Wickremesinghe to his swearing-in ceremony, which President @RW_UNP accepted," it said.

Caretaker PM Modi also h a phone conversation with Banglesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and invited her to attend his swearing-in ceremony which she accepted, diplomatic sources said.
Sources said that Nepalese Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', Bhutanese Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay and Prime Minister of Mauritius Pravind Jugnauth will also attend grand event in national capital.

Muizzu Arrives In India
Maldivian President Mohammed Muizzu arrived in New Delhi on Sunday morning to attend swearing-in ceremony of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on June 9 at Rashtrapati Bhawan in national capital.
Earlier, PM Narendra Modi h invited Maldivian President Muizzu to attend ceremony. This will be Muizzu's first official visit to India since he assumed office last year.
Munu Mahawar, Higher Commissioner of Republic of India to Republic of Maldives, presented letter of invitation to President during a courtesy call at his office.
Vice-President of Seychelles Ahmed Afif will also be present at event.
