Saffron Tsunami Has Hit Odisha Elections: Himanta Biswa Sarma

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that Odisha was hit by a saffron "tsunami" and there is no doubt about the BJP forming government in the state. The Lok Sabha and assembly elections are held simultaneously in the state. Sarma, who has been campaigning in Odisha for the past few days, said, “When I held the first election meeting in Odisha, I saw a small wave in favour of the BJP. But today, I saw a tsunami for the BJP in Mayurbhanj, Bhadrak and Jagatsinghpur areas.

TMC and Good Governance Have No Relation: PM Modi

“The TMC and good governance have no relation. You won't find good governance in Bengal even under a microscope. The TMC works only for its vote bank and can never do anything for the youths of the state. The party has any vision,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Tuesday during a rally in West Bengal.

The prime minister said TMC and the Left are the same, as “both indulge in vote-bank politics.”

“They are known for their undemocratic means and disregard for the democratic process,” the PM added.

Speaking ahead of the Lok Sabha elections 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a rally in Jharkhand's Dumka, where he said that scams were a regular thing before 2014 as Congress was indulged in looting people 24*7.

"Scams were routine before 2014 as Congress indulged in loot 24x7, Modi stopped it," he said.

“JMM, Congress, RJD are openly threatening. They say that Modi has to be removed and the reason why they want to remove me is so that they can get a chance to do scams again. I just want to ask you, will you allow the scams to happen? JMM and Congress are looting Jharkhand in every way,” the PM added.

"In the next five years, we have to take forward the work done in the last 10 years. I have taken a resolution to make three crore mothers, sisters 'lakhpati didi'," he added.
