Valsad has been a stronghold for the BJP since 2014, winning the constituency for two consecutive times.

In 2014, BJP’s KC Patel contested from Jadavpur, securing a significant victory with 6,17,772 votes, defeating Congress’ Kishanbhai Vestabhai Patel.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, BJP’s KC Patel won again by securing 771,980 votes, defeating Jitubhai Chaudhari of the Congress.

On Tuesday, soon after voting began for the Lok Sabha elections 2024, Chief Election Commission Rajiv Kumar said, "The counting process is underway at all the places. We have given strict instructions to all the DMs, SPs and COs (central observers) that the process of counting is done transparently and as per rulebook."
