Maharashtra Assembly polls: PM Modi, Rahul Gandhi to rally on Sunday
Days ahead of Maharashtra Assembly polls, PM Modi will address public rallies in Maharashtra's Jalgaon and Sakoli on Sunday, seeking a second term in the state.

Days ahe of Maharashtra Assembly polls, PM Modi will dress public rallies in Maharashtra's Jalgaon and Sakoli on Sunday, seeking a second term in state. Former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi is also scheduled to dress rallies in Chandivali, Dharavi and Latur regions of Maharashtra.
PM Modi is set to dress a total of 9 rallies in 4 days starting from Sunday. On October 16, Akola, Panvel, and Partur will witness PM’s dress. This will be followed by his campaign meeting in Pune, Satara, and Parli on next day. PM Modi will wind up his Maharashtra campaign with a grand public meeting in Mumbai on October 18.

"Will be campaigning in Maharashtra tomorrow. Looking forward to dressing rallies in Jalgaon and Sakoli. NDA is going to people based on stellar work of our Government led by youthful and visionary CM Devendra Fnavis. We seek five more years to serve state," tweeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Meanwhile, according to sources, Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi are likely to limit ir campaign run in Maharashtra for upcoming Assembly Elections. Rahul Gandhi instigated a controversy after he flew to Bangkok on October 5, just days ahe of state elections in Maharashtra and Haryana.

In saffron alliance, BJP will be contesting on 150 seats, and Shiv Sena will fight on 124 seats in Maharashtra. Alliance partners of BJP have fielded 14 candidates on party's lotus symbol.

Meanwhile, Congress is contesting polls in alliance with NCP. Both parties are contesting on 125 seats each in 288-member Assembly and its allies on remaining 38 seats. voting for 288-member Assembly will be held on October 21 in a single phase. counting of votes will take place on October 24. In total, Maharashtra has 8.94 crore registered voters, out of which 1.16 lakh are service voters. 1.8 lakh ballot units, 1.28 lakh control units, and 1.39 lakh VVPATs will be used in state.
