narcotics was seized from a truck in Bhagalpur district on Tuesday and cannabis was hidden beneath a consignment of coconuts, central probe ncy said.

"One among arrested is G K Sah, a resident of Mhubani district of state, and he is a major ganja trafficker operating in rth Bihar. He sources narcotics from illicit ganja production belt of Andhra Presh and Odisha border," NCB Deputy Director (operations), K P S Malhotra, said.
consignment was believed to be sourced from Vishakhapatnam and was on way to Mhubani, he ded.

Polls for 243-member Bihar assembly will be held in three phases-- October 28, vember 3 and vember 7-- and counting of votes will be held on vember 10.

NCB officials say, illegal cannabis cultivation in country is largely concentrated around Naxal violence affected border areas of Andhra Presh and Odisha. Ganja from this region find its way to all states like Delhi, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Tamil Nu, Kerala, West Bengal and even to Sri Lanka, NCB officials said.
