BJP's Ram Vichar Netam: 'Party will assess reasons that led to its defeat in Jharkhand'
Co-in-charge of BJP's Jharkhand unit Ram Vichar Netam, a day after losing power in the state, said that the party will assess the reason behind its defeat

co-in-charge of BJP's Jharkhand unit Ram Vichar Netam, a day after losing power in state, on Tuesday said that party will hold discussions to analyse reason behind its defeat in assembly elections. He claimed that BJP h given a corruption-free and development-driven government in state. This comes after JMM-led alliance won a clear majority in state on Monday.

Talking about BJP’s defeat in Jharkhand elections, Netam said, "re could be several reasons for defeat. party will hold meetings and assess reasons for same. Our government was dedicated to overall development of state, but we did t get expected results. BJP did t get a majority in elections, so Raghubar Das Ji submitted his resignation. In last elections, people h given us opportunity to run government. We did our part.”

Ram Vichar Netam on Raghubar Das’ defeat
When asked about Raghubar Das’ defeat from Jamshedpur (East) constituency, Ram Vichar Netam said, “Victory and loss are parts of democracy". This comes as BJP t only lost power in state but former CM of Jharkhand, Raghubar Das also lost from his constituency by BJP rebel Saryu Roy. He was an independent candidate. Congress, JMM and RJD fought Jharkhand elections toger. Hemant Soren defeated BJP's Simon Malto from Barhait seat while on Dumka seat he once again defeated BJP's incumbent candidate Lois Marandi.

alliance won elections with an absolute majority by winning 47 seats in 81-member assembly. BJP, on or hand, only won 25 seats in state. As per Election Commission of India, Jharkhand Mukti Morch won a total of 30 seats in assembly. On or hand, ir allies Congress and RJD won 16 and one seat each. Or parties like Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantrik) won three seats, AJSU two, Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) (Liberation) one, NCP one and independents two.
