Not Invited To Big Events: Akhilesh Yadav Attacks Rahul Gandhi Amid Seat Sharing Talks

Rift in INDI Alliance: Samajwi Party chief Akhilesh Yav took a dig at Rahul Gandhi-led Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, claiming he has not been invited. Signaling a possible rift within Opposition's Indian National Developmental Inclusive (INDI) Alliance, Akhilesh Yav said that many big events take place but Samajwi leer is not invited. remarks come at a time when Congress and Samajwi Party leers are engaged in seat-sharing talks in Uttar Presh, however, hasn't been able to arrive at a consensus.
“Many big events are organised, but we are not invited,” said former Uttar Presh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yav on Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra. Amid seat sharing talks, Akhilesh Yav h unilaterally announced 11 seats for Congress party in upcoming Lok Sabha elections, however, Congress wished to contest on more seats and two sides are engaged in a discussion.

In last Lok Sabha elections, Congress contested 67 of 80 seats, however, could only win one- Rae Bareli seat from where Sonia Gandhi fought. However, Samajwi Party contested in alliance with Mayawati's BSP and fielded candidates on 37 seats, out of which it won only 5.
Rahul Gandhi's Yatra begins from Dhanb
Rahul Gandhi-led Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra on Sunday resumed from Jharkhand's Dhanb district. After a night halt in Tundi block of district on Saturday, yatra resumed at Govindpur in Dhanb city on Sunday. Congress MP Jairam Ramesh said, "Today, we are in Dhanb and we will be going to Bokaro."
