'Person Who Made Allegations ..': Sharad Pawar Defends Supriya Sule Over Alleged 'Bitcoin Scam'

Baramati: Amid "Bitcoin Scam" allegation against NCP-SCP leer Supriya Sule by former IPS officer Ravindra Patil, party chief Shar Pawar said on Wednesday that person who h alleged was in jail and only BJP can make false allegations by taking that person along. Shar Pawar also cast his vote at a polling booth in Baramati.

Afterwards, speaking to media persons, he said, " person who me allegations was in jail for several months and taking that person along and making false allegations, only BJP can do this." "People should vote and I am confident that people of Maharashtra will vote in large numbers in a peaceful manner. After 23 November, it will be clear who will be given responsibility of forming government in state," NCP-SCP Chief ded.

Notably, Supriya Sule on Wednesday refuted all allegation levelled against her saying all allegations are completely false. 

Speaking to ANI, Sule said, "I have filed a defamation case and a criminal case. I am rey to answer his (Sudhanshu Trivedi) 5 questions wherever he wants. Time of his choice, place of his choice and platform of his choice. I am rey to answer him because all allegations are completely false. All lies" 

Earlier today, Sule's bror and NCP Chief, Ajit Pawar claimed that he could recognize voice of his sister in purported Audio clips that former IPS officer Patil h alluded to as proof of Sule's involvement in scam. Deputy CM also promised an investigation into scandal. "Whatever audio clip is being shown, I just know that I have worked with both of m. One of m is my sister and or is someone with whom I have worked a lot. audio clip has ir voices; I can figure out from ir tone. An inquiry will be done and everything will be clear. An inquiry will be done and truth will come in front of people," Pawar said.

One of most anticipated battles in se elections is taking place in Baramati. Where Ajit Pawar is contesting against Nationalist Congress Party (Shar Chandra Pawar faction) Yugendra Pawar, son of his younger bror, Shrinivas Pawar. Baramati also drew attention in 2024 Lok Sabha elections when wife of Ajit Pawar, Sunetra Pawar challenged Supriya Sule, who ultimately won by a margin of 1.5 lakh votes. 

ruling BJP-led Mahayuti alliance includes BJP, Shiv Sena, and Nationalist Congress Party (Ajit Pawar faction), while opposition MVA comprises Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT), and NCP (Shar Pawar faction). In 2019 Maharashtra assembly elections, BJP won 105 seats, Shiv Sena secured 56, and Congress won 44. In 2014, BJP claimed 122 seats, Shiv Sena 63, and Congress 42.
