PM Narendra Modi jubilant as BJP sweeps Tripura panchayat polls, here's his post

Following the splendid victory of BJP in Tripura panchayat elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to Twitter on Friday and credited "development politics" and "democratic temperament" over the success.

Following splendid victory of BJP in Tripura panchayat elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to Twitter on Friday and credited "development politics" and "democratic temperament" over success. BJP won over 90 per cent seats in three-tier panchayat elections in state. Appreciating BJP worker's hard work over victory, PM Modi also thanked people of state for blessing party in Panchayat elections.

He furr urged karyakartas (workers) from or states to interact with karyakartas from Tripura, owing to party's repeated successes in state. He ded that victory in local polls also shows that "with right effort, everything is possible."

Home Minister and BJP chief Amit Shah also took to Twitter to congratulate Tripura BJP unit for ar landslide victory. HE furr ded that "overwhelming mandate for party in Panchayat elections is an endorsement for State government and development projects initiated to transform lives of people".

Tripura Panchayat elections

ruling BJP in Tripura registered a landslide victory in three-tier panchayat polls in state by winning over 90 percent seats. elections were held on July 27 and results were anunced on Thursday.

Polls were held in 833-gram panchayat seats, 82 panchayat Samiti seats and 79 Zilla Parish seats.

"Out of 833-gram panchayat seats, BJP won 638, CPI(M) 22, Congress 158 and Indigeus People's Front of Tripura (IPFT) 6. Nine seats were won by independents," State Election Commissioner GK Rao said.

In panchayat Samiti, BJP won 74 seats, Communist Party of India (Marxist) one and Congress six. In Zilla Parish, BJP won 77 seats and Congress two, Rao said.
