Schools to Remain Shut in Haryana on October 4 And 5 for Poll Preparations

Gurugram: All schools will remain shut in Haryana on October 4 and 5 given upcoming assembly elections in state. This is because several schools have been designated to be voting centres and thus will be closed on October 4 to provide time for necessary preparations before polling begins. As per official notice, this two-day closure applies to all government, semi-government and private schools in state.
Haryana assembly election 2024 will be contested in a single phase for 90-membered legislative assembly on October 5 from 7 am to 6 pm and results will be declared on October 8.

This comes as campaigning for polls ended yesterday, October 3, at 6 pm, after parties put in ir final efforts before election.
Haryana Assembly Polls 2024: Voting Details
As many as 1,031 candidates, including 101 women, are contesting in Haryana elections. voting will begin at 7 am on October 5 and will end at 6 pm. results will be declared on October 8. A total of 20,629 polling booths have been set up across state for polls. After intense campaign battle, Bhartiya Janata Party is aiming for a third consecutive term, meanwhile, Congress would be hoping for a comeback after a dece.
