Sena warns BJP: Don't get ahead of yourself or will be taught a lesson

After Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray's blunt reminder to BJP about the 50:50 formula agreement for power-sharing in their coalition for the Maharashtra polls

After Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray's blunt reminder to BJP about 50:50 formula agreement for power-sharing in ir coalition for Maharashtra assembly polls, party in its mouthpiece 'Saamna' fired a warning to party. Targetting BJP and Devendra Fadnavis, editorial cautioned BJP of getting ahead of itself and play politics using means of threats and fear.

"... people of Maharashtra have spoken — don't get ahead of yourself; if you attempt to throw your weight through politics n you will be taught an unforgettable lesson," Shiv Sena said in editorial. piece also reminded BJP that, "you did t get majority on your own."

Shiv Sena warns BJP it did t get 'a huge mandate'

In a biting critique, party spelled out for BJP that people of Maharashtra had spoken through EVMs that if y get ahead of mselves about results (in which BJP won close to 102 seats). It said it was t a huge mandate for party and that BJP should accept it with humility. Sparing a few words of praise for Opposition, it said that y mand to get at least 100 seats while BJP's tally was less than its previous assembly result despite having an alliance with it this year.

Shiv Sena in editorial said that Opposition, especially NCP mand to bag decent number of seats, despite BJP's attempts to create a 'dent' in party so much that even observers wondered if party would continue to exist. editorial added that people of Maharashtra had taught a lesson to BJP for playing politics of this kind. Shiv Sena in column also lauded public for voting without fear of being threatened and did t play into BJP's political games.
