NCP leer Supriya Sule has questioned presence of several central ministers and senior BJP leers from across country to campaign for Maharashtra Assembly polls when Chief Minister Devendra Fnavis is confident of an easy win. dressing a rally at Kalyan town in Thane district of Maharashtra on Tuesday night for NCP minee Prakash Tare, she dubbed BJP's demand for Bharat Ratna hour for Hindutva ideologue V D Savarkar as an "election gimmick".

'BJP t sure of its victory'

Targeting Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who has been dressing a number of rallies in state to campaign for BJP, Sule sought to kw why he did t pay a visit to Kolhapur, Satara and Sangli in August when districts were ravd by floods after heavy rains. "When Chief Minister says re is fight at all for BJP in Maharashtra, what is need for so many senior party leers, including CMs of various states and Union ministers, to campaign in Maharashtra?" she asked. "This shows BJP is t sure of its victory," Lok Sabha member from Baramati said.

'BJP's election gimmick'

Hitting out at BJP over its demand of Bharat Ratna for Savarkar in its poll manifesto, Sule, who is daughter of NCP chief Shar Pawar, said it was thing but an "election gimmick". Sule said she h earlier in Lok Sabha sought highest civilian hour for social reformers Savitribai Phule and Mahatma Phule for ir contribution to society, and even presented a memorandum of her demand to Fnavis. She accused ruling BJP and Shiv Sena of "igring" several burning issues in state and diverting people's attention from m. In her speech, she lauded work of late NCP leer R R Patil towards development of state, especially cleanliness campaign undertaken by him.
