Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav and a member of the multi-party anti-BJP I.N.D.I Alliance, on Monday, responded to the hoarding declaring Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav as the ‘future Prime Minister of India’ and said that “this is not an issue and has no meaning”. Tejashwi’s comments came after the ongoing rift in the Opposition alliance over the PM’s face was placed wide open.
"People keep sticking posters. This is not the issue. There is no meaning as even people put posters showing me as Krishna or Arjun. This doesn't mean anything," Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.
Row after ‘Future PM Akhilesh’ hoarding
Amid the ongoing row between the Congress and the Samajwadi Party (SP), key members of the Opposition bloc, over seat sharing for the Madhya Pradesh Assembly election, a hoarding declaring SP Akhilesh Yadav as the ‘future Prime Minister’ of India has resurfaced outside the party’s Lucknow office.
The poster was reportedly put up by party spokesperson Fakhrul Hasan ‘Chaand’. Interestingly, a similar hoarding was put up by Hasan on the SP chief’s birthday on July 1 earlier this year as well.
BJP hits out with ‘Mungeri Lal’ jibe
Reacting to the poster, BJP leader and minister in the Uttar Pradesh government Danish Azad Ansari said that no one can stop anyone from daydreaming.
"There is a saying, 'Mungeri Lal Ke Haseen Sapne'. Nobody can stop anyone from daydreaming. But one should dream as per one's capability. Under PM Modi's leadership, our country is going ahead on the path of development. People of the country trust PM Modi and the country will definitely elect PM Modi as the PM for the third time," Danish Ansari said.
