Allu Arjun reacts to maiden National Award win for Pushpa, pens note of gratitude

Allu Arjun scripted history with his maiden National Award win for playing the titular role in Sukumar's directorial Pushpa. His name was announced in the list of 69th National Film Award winners and like many this year, Allu Arjun won the accolade for the first time. He shared a post on social media expressing his gratitude.

Allu Arjun gets emotional on National Award win

On Friday, Allu Arjun took to his Instagram handle and shared a picture in which he could be seen hugging Pushpa director Sukumar. Those in the background cheered for the hit actor-director duo. While celebrating his win, Allu Arjun also congratulated the other National Award winners.

He wrote, "A huge congratulations to all the national award winners across various categories and languages throughout the nation. Your accomplishments are truly commendable. I would like to express my gratitude for the love and wishes pouring in from all corners of the country. I feel honored and humbled by it all. Thank you for the love. Humbled."

Inside Allu Arjun's celebration with family

Vamsi Kaka shared several pictures on his X (formerly known as Twitter) handle from the celebration that happened at Allu Arjun's house after the announcement of National Award winners. The actor and director rejoiced in the historic moment by relishing on cake. The bash was attended by Allu Arjun's father Allu Aravind and his cousins Varun Tej and Sai Dharam Tej, among others.

Pusha: The Rise, co-stars Fahadh Faasil, Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari, Sunil, Raj Tirandasu and Rao Ramesh among others. In the opening weekend, the film grossed over Rs 159 crore worldwide, becoming a blockbuster hit. Its songs and dialogues also went viral and the character, essayed by Allu Arjun, quickly attained cult status.
