Anand Mahindra apologises to 10yr old Kalaripayattu artist for calling him a 'young woman'

Anand Mahindra apologized to have mistaken the gender of a 10-year-old Kalaripayattu artist whose practice video he had earlier shared on his Twitter handle.

Industrialist Anand Mahindra wrote an apology tweet to a 10-year old boy who practises Kalaripayattu, ancient martial art, for having misidentified and calling him a "young woman". businessman h shared a video clip on Twitter of a boy practising Kalaripayattu and wrote “WARNING: Do T get in this young woman’s way!”. While boy responded to post and corrected Anand Mahindra's error, saying, "I am t a girl. I am a 10-year-old boy".

Earlier industrialist h shared video and wrote, "WARNING: Do T get in this young woman’s way! And Kalaripayattu needs to be given a significantly greater share of limelight in our sporting priorities. This can—and will— catch world’s attention".

While Neelakandan Nair, a student of Ekaveera Kalaripayattu Acemy in Kerala, responded to tweet and said, "Thanks a lot for your support and encourment sir! A small correction - I am t a girl, I am a 10-year-old boy. I am growing my hair long for a role in a planned short movie on Kalaripayattu".

Upon receiving this mess, Anand Mahindra posted an apology te, "A thousand apologies. Your skills are awe-inspiring in any case. And I stand by my warning that one should get in your way…! I request @betterindia to also amend ir tweet which h gotten my attention".
