AR Rahman Divorce: Oscar-winning music composer and his wife Siara Rahman have called it quits after being married for nearly 30 years. Rahman and Saira married in Chennai in March 1995, three months after ir first meeting. Rahman and his wife share three kids - Khatija, Raheema and Ameen. Saira's lawyer first released an official statement regarding ir decision to separate. After AR Rahman and his wife Saira Banu announced ir separation after 29 years of marriage. Oscar award-winning composer penned a heartfelt note, where he called it a 'shattering' decision and that y h hoped to reach “grand thirty.” Talking about how ir relationship saw an 'unseen end', Rahman took to X, formerly called Twitter and wrote: “We h hoped to reach grand thirty, but all things, it seems, carry an unseen end. Even throne of God might tremble at weight of broken hearts. Yet, in this shattering, we seek meaning, though pieces may not find ir place again.”

Rahman and Saira Banu parting ways started doing rounds after latter issued a statement over divorce. It was reported that Saira cited emotional strain as cause behind divorce. strain has led to an insurmountable gap between couple.

AR Rahman's wife announces separation 

Saira's lawyer Vandana Shah has released an official statement with regards to couple's decision to separate. statement res, “After many years of marriage, Mrs Saira has me difficult decision to separate from her husband Mr AR Rahman. This decision comes after significant emotional strain in ir relationship. Despite ir deep love for each or, couple has found that tensions and difficulties have created an insurmountable gap between m, one that neir party feels able to bridge at this time”.

“Mrs Saira emphasised that she has taken this decision out of pain and agony. Mrs Saira requests privacy and understanding from public during this challenging time, as she navigates this difficult chapter in her life”, it ded. Rahman's son AR Ameen,who is also a singer, took to Stories section of his Instagram, and requested everyone to respect ir privacy. He wrote, “We kindly request everyone to respect our privacy during this time. Thank you for your understanding”.
