AR Rahman's Daughter Raheema Posts Cryptic Note On 'Hardships' Post Parents' Divorce Announcement

Mumbai, Nov 21 (IANS) After Oscar and Grammy-winning composer A. R. Rahman and his wife Saira Banu announced ir divorce, ir daughter Raheema shared a cryptic post about “hardship” and tagged it as “verses to live by.”

Raheema took to her Instagram stories, where she shared a glimpse of picturesque locale from her window.

She captioned: “Through every hardship, re is ease. -Your Lord is going to give you & you will be satisfied. Verses to live by.”

Rahman and Saira have three children Khatija, Raheema and Ameen. It was on November 19, when couple me shocking news about going ir separate ways. two h been married for 29 years.

Saira claimed emotional strain as cause behind divorce. Her lawyer Vandana Shah has released an official statement with regards to couple's decision to separate.

This decision comes after significant emotional strain in ir relationship. Despite ir deep love for each or, couple has found that tensions and difficulties have created an insurmountable gap between m, one that neir party feels able to bridge at this time”.

“Mrs Saira emphasised that she has taken this decision out of pain and agony. Mrs Saira requests privacy and understanding from public during this challenging time, as she navigates this difficult chapter in her life”, it ded.

A day later, musician penned a lengthy note, where he said it was a 'shattering' decision. He also shared that couple h hoped to reach “grand thirty.”

Talking about how ir relationship saw an 'unseen end', Rahman took to X, formerly called Twitter and wrote: “We h hoped to reach grand thirty, but all things, it seems, carry an unseen end. Even throne of God might tremble at weight of broken hearts. Yet, in this shattering, we seek meaning, though pieces may not find ir place again.”
