Argylle: First posters of Henry Cavill, Dua Lipa, Samuel L. Jackson out, release date announced

Ahead of Argylle's theatrical release, the makers unveiled the character posters of the ensemble cast of the movie on Wednesday, January 3.

Matthew Vaughn’s Argylle will make its theatrical debut on February 2. Ahead of its release, the makers unveiled the character posters of the ensemble cast of the movie on Wednesday, January 3. The team of Argylle includes Henry Cavill, Dua Lipa, Samuel L. Jackson, Catherine O’Hara, Ariana DeBose, and several other stars, who play a major role in the movie.

The cast of Argylle is pretty amazing, and there's a cat involved. The early teasers seem pretty good. Today saw the release of new character posters for the upcoming movie, one of which featured the aforementioned cat. Take a look here: 

 

What is Argylle about? 

The synopsis of Argylle reads, “In the film, Elly Conway is a reclusive author of a series of best-selling espionage novels, whose idea of bliss is a night at home with her computer and her cat, Alfie. But when the plots of Elly’s fictional books—which center on secret agent Argylle and his mission to unravel a global spy syndicate—begin to mirror the covert actions of a real-life spy organization, quiet evenings at home become a thing of the past.”

It continued, “Accompanied by Aiden (Rockwell), a cat-allergic spy, Elly (carrying Alfie in her backpack) races across the world to stay one step ahead of the killers as the line between Elly’s fictional world and her real one begins to blur.”

Matthew Vaughn is the director and producer of Argylle, which is based on a screenplay by Jason Fuchs. Producers of the movie include Matthew Vaughn, Jason Fuchs, David Reid, and Adam Bohling. Adam Fishbach, Zygi Kamasa, Carlos Peres, and Claudia Vaughn are the executive producers. The film will release in the US on February 2, 2024, and is expected to hit Apple TV+ at a later date.
