'Avatar: The Last Airbender' creators quit Netflix remake over 'unsupportive environment'

Avatar The Last Airbender creators have parted ways from the new Netflix remake. Both Bryan Konietzko and Michael Dante gave an open statement on Instagram.

Avatar: Last Airbender fans have received heartbreaking news. creators of anime series, Bryan Konietzko and Michael Dante DiMarti have decided to part ways with upcoming Netflix live-action remake of Avatar. In an open letter on Instagram, both creators have talked about reason y left project.

Avatar creators step away from  Netflix live-action remake

Avatar: Last Airbender is one of most popular anime series in world. show has loyal fan-following in many countries across globe. All thanks to show’s creators Michael Dante DiMarti and Bryan Konietzko. Many Avatar fans were rey to witness magic of this series once again on screen through its live-action remake series.

In 2018, Netflix anunced that y are working on Avatar live-action remake along with anime series’ original creators Michael and Bryan. But w se creators in an open letter on Instagram have anunced that y parting ways from this Netflix remake.

Michael Dante in his open letter said that when he and Bryan joined hands with Netflix for this remake and y were hired as executive producers and showrunners. y became a part of this project as it was promised that ir “vision” will be houred. But according to letter, things did t go as Avatar duo hoped.

Bryan Konietzko in his letter also agreed with Michael’s comment about t receiving eugh support for ir vision of live-action series. He also ded that y felt a “negative and unsupportive environment” while working on production. Both Bryan Konietzko and Michael Dante deemed ir departure as one of hardest decisions of ir professional careers.

But both Bryan and Michael and expressed that series has potential to be a good project but it will t represent vision y h for show. Through se open letters, both Avatar creators assured ir fans that y will continue to be involved with “Avatar universe” and continue telling stories y envision.
