Coldplay India Concert: After a 3-day musical concert in Mumbai, the British band will perform at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium on January 25, marking their conclusion of the India tour. With Coldplay coming to Ahmedabad, the prices of hotels have skyrocketed. Concertgoers took to social media sharing their shook after seeing the price sync with the concert dates. Mumbai hotels also witnessed the same situation with 3-star and 4-star hotels costing around ₹3 lakh for three days due to high demand.

Hotel rooms in Ahmedabad cost for whopping ₹50,000

Netizens took to X to share the jaw-dropping hotel rates in Ahmedabad around January 25. A user shared a video of checking out the hotel prices and captioned the post, "Thought I’ll book a hotel room and keep just in case I manage to get the tickets for Coldplay in Ahmedabad. The prices just skyrocketed. #Coldplay #BMS." The video shows some of the popular hotels, such as Courtyard Ahmedabad, Renaissance Ahmedabad Hotel and Four Points, costing up to ₹53,000 per night.

Another user shared a pro tip to concertgoers, "No hotel in Ahmedabad for 24-25 Jan costs less than 50k. Pro-tip for people going to Coldplay: stay in Vadodara and commute to Ahmedabad."

A person, who booked an Ahmedabad hotel soon after the concert was announced, shared that his booking was cancelled. “Booked a stay near Narendra Modi Stadium 2 minutes after the Coldplay Ahmedabad show was announced. Just got an email saying booking is cancelled. I booked 1 night stay at Rs 1,800. Now watch this cost touch Rs 18,000 within a few hours," his comment read.

The Music Of The Spheres World Tour is scheduled to begin on January 18, 2025, followed by two more concerts in the city on January 19 and January 21 next year. Then Coldplay will move to Ahmedabad for their fourth show which is in Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium, one of the largest stadiums in the world with over 1,00,000 accommodating capacity. The tickets for the Ahmedabad concert will go live tomorrow, November 16 at noon.
